Paying for your consultation and treatment
Some UK patients choose to pay for their own treatment directly, which is no problem. We accept all major credit and debit cards, and would appreciate prompt payment.
Initial consultation from £350
Follow-up consultation from £275
If you have UK health insurance, you will normally need pre-authorisation from your insurance company. You should contact them directly, explaining why you are attending The Devonshire Clinic, to make sure that your consultation can be covered under the terms of your policy. Once pre-authorisation has been agreed, you don’t need to pay us anything. We obtain the payment for the consultation and any agreed tests or treatment from your insurer.
Appointments
Our Consultant Dermatologists offer private treatment to patients from anywhere in the UK. You don’t need a referral from your GP, you can approach us directly for an appointment. If you have a referral, it would be helpful for you to bring the letter with you on the day, together with a list of any medications you are currently taking.

Your consultation
We have extremely comfortable facilities at Devonshire Street and we can provide you with refreshments during your short time in one of our well-appointed waiting rooms.
We always aim to see patients at their appointment time, but if there is an unexpected delay you will be kept informed.
You will then meet with the Consultant Dermatologist that you have chosen in a private consulting room. We will take your medical history, details of your condition and conduct a physical examination.
If you need a follow-up test to confirm a diagnosis, we will explain what is required and why.
